As the rifleman is the backbone of the security of the United States, so is the rifleman the backbone of security for family and community.  Working as a small unit, a few riflemen can and have provided security for multiple communities across the nation during times of unrest, turmoil, and danger.  Times are no different now, and a small group of dedicated individuals skilled at arms can keep hundreds—if not thousands—safe from danger and dangerous people.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE, YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR AND/OR COMPLETED RIFLEMAN I.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

In this course, teamwork is emphasized at all times.  You will be working in conjunction with other riflemen from start to finish to achieve marksmanship, conduct patrols, and complete practical drills.  This course was designed for the exclusive purpose of enabling you to secure your family, neighborhood, and community should the situation ever arise.

Classroom and course topics include: small unit movement and patrolling skills, marksmanship at various ranges up to 400 meters, security procedures, team communication, equipment considerations, team tactics, close quarters battle, low-light shooting, barricaded positions, and organization.

Training is only open to legal, US Citizens or permanent residents (green card holders) per ITAR  (22 CFR §§120-130)

 Course equipment requirements:

  • Magazine-fed rifle ZEROED FOR 100 YARDS in an intermediate or battle rifle cartridge (5.56, 7.62×39, 5.45×39, .308, .30-06, etc…)  Bring a spare rifle also zeroed for 100 yards if you have one.
  • Sling—two point sling is recommended.  The standard G.I. canvas sling, and Combloc AK cotton sling work great, and usually come with the rifles.
  • 400 rounds of factory loaded rifle ammunition. Green tip or 7n6 is fine for most drills, but we will be shooting steel on some drills so bring other non-green tip (xm193 or similar variant) and commercial 5.45 ammunition as well.
  • 5 rifle magazines (marked magazines with your name, duct tape, or other identifying feature will help)
  • White light (attached to rifle)
  • Pistol
  • 3 pistol magazines
  • Quality kydex or leather holster that stays open during reholstering.
  • 100 rounds of pistol ammunition
  • Rain gear
  • Ballistic eye protection.  Lowe’s or Walmart has these.  You will also need clear eye protection.
  • Sunscreen
  • Gun cleaning gear
  • Pen and paper
  • You will also need to bring a lunch each day

There is no minimum age to take this class.  However, students under 18 years of age are required to attend the class together with a participating adult.
