BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE, YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR AND/OR COMPLETED RIFLEMAN I.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

In Rifleman I, the focus was on contact distance out to 300 meters.  Midrange rifle involves you making hits from 50 meters out to 600 meters, using iron sights or your red dot sights!  With the application of proper fundamentals, you will not only push yourself, but shatter any preconceived limitations.  You will be pushing the boundaries of what is thought possible, shooting targets designed to challenge you mentally and physically.

Rarely does a class offer you the opportunity to consistently hit at distances one-third of a mile away with your carbine or rifle, but you can and will do exactly that in this course.  We hit the ground running in this class.  Not only will you hit from traditional positions, but also in some very creative ones as well.  Make no mistake about it: when you leave this class, you will own all that you see with your rifle consistently, accurately, and quickly.

Drills in this class involve various shooting positions, shooter/spotter relationship, multiple targets, proper use of the rifle sling, wind estimation, team drills, and fire and maneuver elements.  Additionally, you will shoot a qualification course that is the standard by which some of the finest riflemen in the world are measured.

This is not a “belly shooting” class where you target shoot.  This is a class that involves a high degree of physical activity while participating in team drills over hundreds of yards.  Be prepared for some serious fun and learning.  You will have a new relationship with your rifle after this class. Training is only open to legal, US Citizens or permanent residents (green card holders) per ITAR  (22 CFR §§120-130)

Course gear requirements:

  • Rifle ZEROED FOR 100 YARDS chambered in an intermediate or battle rifle cartridge (5.56, 7.62×39, 5.45×39, .308, 7.62×54, .30-06).  We recommend that you use the same rifle you used in Rifleman I for this course.  (Bring a spare rifle also zeroed for 100 yards if you have one.)
  • 400 rounds of factory ammunition.   M855 (Green tip) or 7n6 is fine for most drills, but we will be shooting steel on some drills so bring other non-green tip (xm193 or similar variant) and commercial 5.45 ammunition as well.
  • 6 rifle magazines
  • Pistol
  • Quality kydex or leather holster that stays open while reholstering.
  • 100 pistol rounds
  • Ballistic eye protection.  Lowe’s or Walmart has these.
  • Electronic ear protection

  • Rain gear—We conduct class in all weather conditions
